Thailand is an emerging economy in Asia and although the country’s rate of electrification has reached more than 95%, there are, however, pockets of areas throughout the country that still have no access to electricity.
These areas are usually ones that are hard to reach due to the challenging nature of their landscapes – mountainous and remote.
Donation under this program will give lights to underprivileged households in Noen-charoen Village, Sakol Nakorn Province and Kong-soom Village, Mae-hongsorn Province.
Despite their beautiful nature, surrounded by high mountains and terrains, the native people in these two provinces still rely on burning of kerosene and other fossil fuel for cooking and lighting. To replace these practices, as many as 200 units of Mobiya will be distributed to these people under this Light It Up program.
